When I joined the team, DC Design Week was at a crossroads following the tail-end effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and shifts in leadership. As Executive Chair, I focused on building a legacy and expanding what the week could look like: elevated programming with high-profile partners, a brand that people could relate to, influential champions, and tangible momentum for the teams that follow.
Together, supported by a team of marketers and designers, we reversed the program’s financial trajectory by thousands -- setting a new standard and laying the foundation for long-term growth.
